Busy Week in Guidance

Here's some things you might have missed this week:

Freshman/Sophomore Parent Night on Monday - Parents were able to break out in sessions to hear how to help their students plan for their future, discuss social and parenting issues and learn how to keep their teen safe. School counselors helped to run sessions along with some great community people from the Dubuque Area Labor Management, our Keystone AEA, the Substance Abuse Service Center, the Boy Scouts of America (Exploring Programs) and Clarke University!  Thanks to all for a great night!

College of the Week: Loras College has been our college this week. They had great things planned with a special night for our students to get in free to a volleyball game, and a Duhawk day at school where alumni on our staff were invited to wear Loras tshirts and students were invited to take pics with those staff members and post Loras' FB page!

Senior Meetings: Seniors are being pulled out of classes/free times/study halls individually to talk to them about senior year and their plans for after graduation. Seniors are being given important information during these meetings to help them as they progress through this year! This will continue until each senior has been contacted.
