Exploring
invites you to participate in our Advanced Manufacturing and Skilled Trades
Program through NICC Peosta Campus. NICC is opening its doors and enabling area
high school students to tour various classrooms, weld, mill, work with sheet
metal, and take a tour of a local advanced manufacturer. Exploring is a co-ed
program open to students ages 14-20 who have completed the eighth grade.
This
is a great opportunity to learn about advanced manufacturing careers right here
in Northeast Iowa. You will learn about education and salary; have the ability
to network with professionals, and more importantly get hands-on experience
within the profession. The first of multiple NICC Advanced Manufacturing
meetings will be held Thursday, October 24 from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at NICC
Peosta Campus, located at 10250 Sundown Road, Peosta, IA.
Please use
