REMEMBER TO SUBMIT LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATIONS BY FEBRUARY 15TH

We have found that over 25% of the thousands of applications for the Jackie Robinson Scholarship are immediately ineligible because there is no letter of recommendation submitted online. Please be sure to remind your high school seniors to have a letter submitted. And if you have been asked to write such a letter, remember the deadline is February 15, 2014.
What does it take to become a
Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholar?


To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must:

- Be a graduating, minority high school senior;
- Plan to attend an accredited and approved four–year institution within the United States;
- Demonstrate leadership potential and a dedication to community service;
- Present evidence of financial need;
- Be a United States citizen;
- Score a minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 21; and
- Not possess a degree from a 2 or 4–year College when applying for the scholarship.

Timeline for 2014 Application Process

February 15, 2014, 5pm (ET) - Application due
April 30, 2014 - Notification of application status via email
May 1 – May 31, 2014 - Second round, regional interviews
June 15, 2014 - Final selections announced
