This post will meet once a month on Wednesday evenings. However due to a scheduling conflict, our first meeting will be Tuesday, September 16th, from 6:00-8:15 p.m. at the Dubuque Police Department located at 770 Iowa Street in Dubuque.
Please write a one-page essay expressing your interest in law enforcement, outlining your passion for the career, why you want to participate in this program, and what you hope to learn. Please fill out the registration form, have a parent sign the bottom, and mail it along with your essay to the Exploring Program, PO Box 732, Dubuque, IA 52004. There is much interest in this program and spots are limited, so please mail back your signed registration form and essay post marked no later than September 9th, 2014. Please read the Invitation Letter linked on the right for full instructions.

Once you have been accepted, this can be paid on the night of the first meeting. An additional fee may be required for a Police Explorer uniform shirt.
Exploring is a non-profit career exploration program for any student between the ages of 14 – 20 who has completed the eighth grade. Exploring is an extension program offered through the Northeast Iowa Council, BSA. All programs are open to both male & female high school students and you do not have to be a Scout or join Scouting to participate.
